In the short term a BAZ, acquired at the trade fair, should be set up in the workshop for fixture construction and put into operation.
Description: In only 6 weeks, a 5-axis machining center (MC) will be delivered. After reviewing the technical documentations the responsibles detect that the machine does not fit through the warehouse door, the power supply may not be injected by the hall energy supply due to the high consumption of the BAZ and the hall floor load capacity is exceeded by the weight of the machine. The BAZ has to be set up at delivery and cannot be stored. A return of the machine is excluded.
My job was to find a transport to the site in the hall, to supply a high voltage supply and to create a stable surface when installing. All this within 6 weeks.
My procedure: Neither the fall of the hall door could have been removed - office spaces were stocked above- as well as the path through the windows meant high construction efforts - the window lintel bore the roof beams - only the way through a two-storey small electrical parts stock was left. This "living" stock was shifted during running operations and a wall opening from the storage room in the workshop hall was created. The cable route was conducted from the nearest transformer station through empty tubes to the site of the machine. For BAZ special foundations for load handling with fast curing beton were poured.
